Remove a business from the database.
If you run a business that appears in our data, you can ask us to remove it - free, no account, no paperwork. Tell us how to identify the record and we act on your request.
What happens after you submit
Stated honestly - some parts of this process are still being built, and we describe them as commitments we operate toward, not as a guarantee of already-finished infrastructure:
- We log the request and confirm receipt by email.
- We verify ownership lightly for domain-level requests (to stop a competitor mass-removing a rival), while keeping the opt-out simple and free.
- We remove the record from the active dataset - across both the e-commerce layer and the business-listings layer where it exists - and exclude it from every output surface (API, exports, CSV, sample).
- We work to prevent re-ingestion so a future crawl does not re-create the record, and to pass the removal to clients who already received the data, who are contractually required to purge it on their side.
- We confirm completion by email.
We aim to remove records from the active dataset within a short window of a verified request. We state this as our operating commitment; if any step is delayed, write to data@ecom-lead-database.com and we'll follow up.
