These terms govern your use of ecom-lead-database, operated by [Legal entity - to be completed]. By creating an account, downloading a sample, or buying access, you agree to them.

What the service is

We provide access to a database of e-commerce stores in three forms: a REST API, a CSV/Excel export, and a subscription portal with search and filters. Plans, limits, and prices are described on the pricing page and may change for future billing periods on notice.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • exceed the request, search, or export limits of your plan, or work around rate limits and gating;
  • share your credentials or API key outside the seats included in your plan;
  • attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or scrape the service itself;
  • use the data for any unlawful purpose or in breach of the compliance duties below.

The resale & redistribution restriction

This is the line that matters most, so it is explicit:

  • Allowed: internal use across your team, and use on behalf of your own clients in a delegated-services arrangement (e.g. an agency running prospecting for a client).
  • Not allowed: direct resale of the dataset, public redistribution, or inclusion of the data in a product that competes with ours.

If your use case is a product or an unusual volume, talk to us first - that is what Enterprise terms are for.

Data accuracy and freshness

The data is built from public signals and is provided as is, on a best-effort basis. We work to keep it fresh - enrichment runs continuously and records are re-checked on a rolling basis - but we do not warrant that every record is complete, current, or error-free. A segment's volume is shown before purchase; that figure describes the snapshot at that time.

Your own compliance duties

When you use the data to contact businesses, you act as a separate, independent controller for your own outreach. You are responsible for your own legal basis, for honouring opt-outs, for retention limits, and for the rules of the jurisdictions you target. We require, by contract, that you respect applicable data-protection and marketing law and that you act on suppression information we make available. See the B2B prospecting compliance guidance.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or abuse. Monthly plans are cancellable from the portal and run to the end of the paid period. One-off CSV purchases are delivered as a dated snapshot and are not subscriptions.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid in the [liability cap period - to be completed, e.g. preceding 12 months]. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for how you use the data.

Governing law
