The DTC brands list, without the mystique
Every prospecting tool sells a "DTC brands database" as if it were a secret vault. It isn't. A direct-to-consumer brands list is a filter on a store database - and we'd rather tell you that than dress it up.
One honest limit up front: filtering by product niche (apparel, beauty, food & beverage, home, supplements) is not yet a self-serve filter - fine niche classification is rolling out. Today you segment by platform, country, store age, plan tier, and detected app stack. Want a by-niche list, e.g. beauty brands only? Ask in the free sample request and we'll tell you what we can segment for you right now.
There's no curated "100 coolest brands" list here. There's a dataset, and a DTC query you can run on it.
How we approximate "DTC" from real signals
Direct-to-consumer isn't a field a store sets on itself, so we infer it from signals we actually observe. The result is a defensible slice, not a taste-based shortlist.
- Platform - DTC skews heavily to Shopify pure-players.
- Theme tier - a paid premium theme is a maturity proxy.
- Stack signals - own-brand checkout, no marketplace channel, subscription/loyalty apps where detected.
- Country - filterable; live volume shown before you buy.
One dataset, a DTC view of it
The DTC brands list isn't a separate product with separate pricing. It's the same 50,002 Shopify stores (and the wider catalog) seen through a direct-to-consumer filter. That's why you get it through the same three formats as the rest of the database.
Who the DTC slice is for
| Buyer | Why the DTC filter |
|---|---|
| SaaS pitching brands | Email, reviews, subscription tools target DTC stores specifically. |
| Agencies & SDRs | DTC brands convert better than generic e-commerce for design/growth services. |
| Wholesale & suppliers | Pitch products to brands that own their customer relationship. |
DTC list questions
What counts as a DTC brand here?
A direct-to-consumer brand is a store that sells its own products straight to shoppers, typically on Shopify, without a wholesale or marketplace middle layer. We approximate it from platform, theme tier, and stack signals - not from a hand-curated "cool brands" list.
Is the DTC list a separate database?
No. It is a filtered view of the same e-commerce store database - the DTC angle is a query, not a different product. There is no secret list, just the dataset sliced for brand prospecting.
Can I get US DTC brands specifically?
You can filter by country. Today the catalog is .fr while global English-market coverage is being expanded - we tell you the live volume for a country before you buy.
